Lid and Base Structure: How This Two-Piece Box Opens
The box has exactly two parts: a lid and a base. The lid lifts straight up and off; it drops back on the same way. There is no magnet, no hinge, no ribbon and no drawer – nothing to align, nothing to tear.
Because the lid is a full wrap rather than a printed flap, the reveal stays clean and the box can be kept afterwards as a keepsake box. Materials: Gold Textured Specialty Paper over Rigid Gray Board
Two materials make the box feel the way it does. The structural part is rigid gray board – dense recycled board that holds its shape and does not flex when the lid is lifted. The visible part is gold fine textured specialty paper wrapped over the board.
The texture is a fine vertical grain with a soft satin sheen, so light moves across the lid as the box is turned. It is paper, not metal and not foil wrap: the gold tone comes from the paper, and the printing is applied on top of it.
