Sleeve and Tray: A Box With One Opening
Two rigid parts make this box. The sleeve is a printed tube with three closed walls and a single open face; the tray is a plain white box that lives inside it and leaves through that one face when the satin ribbon is pulled.
| Part | What it is | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Outer sleeve | Printed paper wrapped over rigid board | Closed on three walls |
| Tray | Rigid tray, plain white interior | Leaves the sleeve at one end only |
| Pull | Violet satin ribbon on the tray face | Flat tab — not a bow |
| Closure | None | No lid, no hinge, no magnet |
One opening also means the printed face always presents the same way, which is what a fixed counter display or a locked-off photo setup wants. Where the tray has to leave from either end, the sleeve is built differently — see the two-way drawer jewelry box.
Why 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm Suits a Bracelet
The tray is shallow and wide on purpose. A bangle, a cuff or a folded chain lies flat at one level and is in view the moment the tray clears the sleeve, instead of dropping into a deep corner the way it does in a square ring box.
| Measurement | Value | What it decides |
|---|---|---|
| Outer size | 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm | Wide rectangle, low profile |
| Tray floor | About 9 x 8 cm | One bracelet, bangle or chain |
| Tray depth | 2.5 cm | Single layer, no stacking |
| Packed size | 11 x 10 x 4.5 cm | Carton and freight maths |
| Unit weight | 0.5 kg | Courier and air bands |
Depth is added by the insert rather than by the shell: a die cut platform lifts the piece until it sits level with the tray edge. If your line is built around cuffs and bangles rather than rings, this is the format to price as a custom bracelet box.
The Satin Ribbon Pull and the Direction of Travel
Travel happens in a single direction here, and the flat ribbon on the tray face is the grip. Keeping that tab flat is deliberate: shut, the box still reads as one solid slab on a shelf.
| Pull option | Look | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Satin ribbon pull | Stock for this model | Colour matched or contrasted |
| Grosgrain ribbon pull | Heavier grain | Holds its shape longer |
| Die cut finger notch | No trim at all | Least visible, lowest cost |
| No pull | Flat tray face | Opened by pushing from behind |
A tray that carries a pull at both ends belongs to a two-way build; if that is what your display needs, start from the black single drawer jewelry packaging box instead of modifying this one.
Blue Paper over Rigid Board, White Tray Inside
The sleeve is printed paper wrapped over grey board, and the board core is what gives the folded edges their crisp line. The tray is finished in a neutral white so the piece sits against a plain background rather than competing with the wrap.
| Element | Material | Finish |
|---|---|---|
| Sleeve wrap | Printed specialty paper | Blue, stock reference |
| Core | Rigid grey board | Folded and glued |
| Tray | Paper over board | White |
| Interior liner | Printed paper | Matched to the tray |
| Board and paper | Recyclable, FSC-compliant sourcing on request | FSC mark is not printed |
Colour is matched to a Pantone reference or to a physical sample you send us, so a repeat order comes out the same blue as the first one.
Logo Finishes on a Blue Sleeve
On a mid-tone colour the finish decides how legible the mark stays under shop light, so the choice matters more here than it would on black.
| Finish | Effect on blue | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Foil stamping | Gold or silver, highest contrast | Main logo on the sleeve face |
| Screen printing | Flat solid colour | Fine type and small marks |
| Embossing | Raised, tone on tone | Quiet luxury, no added colour |
| Debossing | Recessed, tone on tone | Logo read by shadow |
| UV spot | Gloss against a matt wrap | Patterns and secondary marks |
A vector file, or simply a sharp photograph, is enough to start, and nothing is stamped until you have signed off the cutting drawing.
EVA, Sponge or Velvet Platform
The insert is what lets one box size carry a whole line. Three materials are in normal production, and all three sit in the same tray.
| Insert | Surface | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Die cut EVA | Dense and smooth | One outline cut to the piece |
| Sponge pad | Softer, matte | A shallow cavity with a lip |
| Velvet platform | Fabric face | Flat display pieces |
| None fitted | Tray floor | Plain presentation |
Our own photographs of this model show all three sitting in one tray. The insert errors that cost the most money are set out in our note on jewelry drawer packaging insert mistakes.
The Tray Is Quoted Without a Fixed Insert
The interior is left open at quotation stage on purpose: we do not know your piece yet, and a generic pad glued into the tray would only have to come out again.
| What you send | What comes back |
|---|---|
| Outline of the piece, with measurements | Cutting drawing for the insert |
| How deep the piece should sit | Platform height and clearance |
| Colour and finish reference | Colour match against your sample |
| Nothing yet | Plain tray, quoted as it stands |
Inserts are cut in house, so a change to the slot does not mean a change of supplier — as a bracelet box manufacturer we keep the die and the board in the same building.
Fitting the Slot to a Bangle Outline
Four numbers decide whether a slot fits, and two of them are set by the tray rather than by the piece.
| Number | Where it comes from | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Outline length and width | Your piece | Sets the cut |
| Sitting height | Your piece plus tray depth | Decides how far the platform rises |
| Clearance | Tray travel | Keeps the piece off the sleeve roof |
| Wall thickness | Insert material | Too thin and the slot tears in transit |
Send the piece or a card template and the cut is drawn around it. Any drawer jewelry box on our site can be quoted with the same insert treatment, so one drawing can serve several shells.
Sampling This Box in Five to Seven Days
Nothing is approved on screen in this trade. Artwork, a 3D mockup and the die lines come back within one to three days, with as many redraws as the layout needs.
| Stage | Time | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork and mockup | 1 to 3 days | Layout and 3D view |
| Cutting drawing | 1 to 3 days | Die lines for sleeve and insert |
| Physical sample | 5 to 7 days | Built on the production floor |
The trial unit is assembled by the team that will run the batch, so the piece in your hand is the piece you will receive. Ask for one through the free sample route.
Bulk Runs in 18 to 25 Days, Trials in 10 to 15
The countdown begins on the day the sample is approved and the deposit lands, not on the day the enquiry arrives.
| Order type | Lead time | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Standard sizes | 18 to 25 days | From 300 pcs |
| Small trial order | 10 to 15 days | Hand-assembled run |
| Custom size | 18 to 25 days | From 500 pcs per size |
| Custom logo printing | 18 to 25 days | From 1,000 pcs |
A new sleeve die and the peak-season queue are the two usual causes of slippage. Both are already inside the date we quote rather than discovered afterwards.
Movement, Colour and Print: What We Check
A drawer box stands or falls on a single thing, and it is not the printing: how the tray moves. Every unit is worked by hand before it is packed.
| Check | What passes |
|---|---|
| Tray movement | Slides out by hand, no binding |
| Ribbon pull | Anchored flat, no lift at the edges |
| Colour | Sleeve and tray match the approved sample |
| Foil and print | Registration and legibility under light |
| Board and joints | Crisp folds, no sprung corners |
Inspection happens on finished boxes rather than at the machine, and the board, paper and foil records are kept so a second order matches the first.
Behind the Sleeve: Our Guangzhou Factory
Production sits with Guangzhou Junye Packaging Industry Co., Ltd.: 5,000 sqm in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, more than 50 skilled workers on the floor, and export orders running since 2004.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Factory | 5,000 sqm, Guangzhou |
| Workforce | More than 50 skilled workers |
| Exporting since | 2004 |
| In house | Printing, foil stamping, die cutting, assembly |
Because the wrap, the foil and the die cutting all happen in the same building, the blue tone and the foil registration do not drift between the approved sample and the batch. More on the workshop is on our about JUNYE page.
Paper Sourcing, EPR and the Certificates on File
Documents we can attach to a quotation:
| Document | Reference |
|---|---|
| ISO9001:2015 certificate | No. ZYC24Q00141R1S, valid to 28 Nov 2027 |
| Certificate scope | Paper packaging boxes and paper bags |
| Germany EPR (LUCID) | DE2463045771631 |
| France EPR (CITEO) | FR292146_01UOMY |
| RoHS | Reports on file |
| GPSR | EU responsible person named |
The board and paper are recyclable stock with FSC-compliant sourcing on request, and the FSC mark is not printed on the box. Inner packaging that sits in direct contact with food falls outside the scope of the certificate.
Export Packing and Door-to-Door Delivery
Boxes are bagged individually before casing. From the factory they either go to your forwarder or ship on a door-to-door service.
| Option | Detail |
|---|---|
| DDP door to door | Duties and customs cleared by us |
| FOB Nansha | You nominate the forwarder |
| EXW Guangzhou | Collected from the factory |
| Carton and pallet | Set once the destination is known |
Carton counts and the pallet plan are fixed once we know the destination and how the units will sit on display. Larger programmes are priced as a wholesale jewelry bracelet box.
Send Us the Piece and We Draw the Insert
A hand sketch with measurements is enough to start. You then receive the die lines, a 3D view and a production-built sample.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Send the brief | Outline, quantity, colour reference |
| 2. Review the drawing | Sleeve and insert die lines |
| 3. Approve the sample | Physical piece in five to seven days |
| 4. Production | 18 to 25 days, then dispatch |
Structural and insert queries are gathered on our FAQ page. The same sleeve is also produced in black as a longer drawer box for chains.
