A black sleeve jewelry box, 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm, with a white drawer that slides out of one open end. The sleeve wraps five faces and is sealed at the back; the drawer is a plain white tray with a front panel flush with the sleeve mouth. A black cord loop runs through the middle of that panel and hangs slack until you hook it.
What The Three Dimensions Are
| Measure | Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Width | 9 cm | across the sleeve, left to right |
| Height | 8 cm | the front face, top to bottom |
| Thickness | 2.5 cm | closed, through sleeve and drawer |
| Front panel | 9 x 8 cm | flush with the mouth, neither proud nor recessed |
| Drawer interior | just under 2 cm deep | floor to the inside of the sleeve top |
| Visible black edge | about 1 to 2 mm | above and below the white face, at the mouth |
Five Faces, One Sealed End
The sleeve is not a tube open at both ends. It wraps the top, the bottom, the two large sides and a sealed panel at the back, so the drawer has exactly one way out. That matters in a shop: a buyer cannot push the tray through the wrong side, and a packer cannot load it backwards and only find out at the seal.
On the closed side you see two segments and one hairline seam. There is no rim band, no second step and no overlap to catch a fingernail. The box reads as a black block until the cord is pulled.
Two Parts, And Only One Of Them Moves
| Part | What it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sleeve | five faces in black fibre-textured paper | top, bottom, two large sides and one sealed end |
| Drawer | four walls and one flat floor, matte white | carries the piece; leaves by the open end only |
| Front panel | the drawer face, 9 x 8 cm | sits flush with the mouth and takes the cord hole |
| Cord loop | black cord threaded through the centre of the panel | forms a loop that hangs 2 to 3 cm |
The White Face Sits Flush With The Mouth

The drawer panel does not stand proud of the sleeve and does not sink into it. Its edges meet the cut ends of the sleeve walls, which leaves a black border about 1 to 2 mm wide above and below the white face. The drawer is the only part that moves, and when it is pushed home the two blocks line up on all four edges.
A Cord Loop, Not A Handle

A round hole sits in the centre of the panel and a black cord passes through it, knotted behind, so the loop hangs free. Flat against the box it takes up nothing; hook one finger and the drawer comes out level. There is no metal pull, no leather tab and no ribbon end to fray, and nothing hangs off the silhouette when the box is stacked.
The loop can be changed with the piece: a softer cord, a ribbon, or a leather-look tab, in the colour you name. All three are threaded the same way, so the panel hole is the only part of the drawing that changes.
A Bare White Floor, Left Plain On Purpose

The tray is white inside as well as out, and the floor is one flat sheet. No flocking, no grooves, no dividers, no moulded bed. A ring, a pair of studs, a bracelet or one coil of chain sits on the floor and stays where it is put, and at just under 2 cm of interior depth the piece stays up where a buyer can see it rather than sinking out of sight.
Keeping the tray plain is a decision, not an omission. The same box can ship as it is, or take a flocked bed, an EVA cut-out or a paper platform built to your drawing later. Once a tray is moulded for one piece it fits nothing else; a plain floor stays useful across a whole range.
Black Outside, White Inside
The sleeve is wrapped in a black paper with a fine horizontal fibre grain, and the top face carries our mark in gold foil. The drawer is matte white, inside and out, so the contrast opens the moment the tray moves: black edge, white face, then a white interior.
Sleeve and drawer can take any two colours you name, matched from a Pantone reference or a physical swatch. A two-tone build costs nothing extra in construction; it is a paper decision, and it is the simplest way to make one box serve two product lines. See the rest of our jewelry packaging for the colour pairs we build most.
What Fits In 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm
The footprint is 9 cm by 8 cm and the drawer is just under 2 cm deep, so the box is built for flat pieces: a ring, a pair of studs, a thin bangle, one coil of chain, a brooch, a pair of cufflinks. A pendant on a card fits if the card stays under the lid line. Anything deeper than the drawer needs a taller build rather than a bigger footprint.
This is the stock size we cut most often; it is one of the shapes in our range of drawer boxes. If your piece needs a different footprint the construction does not change, only the dieline.
Sizes From 6 cm To 20 cm
Sizes are cut per order, from a 6 cm ring box to a 20 cm necklace case, and the sleeve-and-tray construction holds at every size on that range. Wrap paper, board and pull change with the piece, and a flocked or EVA insert can be set into the tray. Printing is foil, screen print, emboss or UV from 1,000 pcs.
The 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm size is stock and starts at 300 pcs. A bespoke size or bespoke artwork starts at 500 pcs per size. One drawer box at a neighbouring size is the bracelet drawer box, built on the same two pieces.
What Comes Back Before You Commit
Send a drawing, a reference or a 3D file and a dieline, artwork and a 3D mockup come back free within 1 to 3 days. A physical sample follows in 5 to 7 days. Bulk production runs 18 to 25 days after the sample is signed off, or 10 to 15 days on a small trial order. DDP door to door is the default term, with FOB Nansha or EXW Guangzhou on request. Ask for a free sample if you want to feel the paper and the pull first.
Paper is FSC compliant from certified mills and the FSC mark is not printed. We hold an ISO 9001:2015 certificate, number ZYC24Q00141R1S, valid to 28 November 2027, RoHS reports, German and French EPR registration and a GPSR EU representative. Those are the only documents we quote, and each one can be checked.
Questions Buyers Ask About A Drawer Box
Is the back really closed?
Yes. The sleeve has a sealed panel at one end, so the drawer can only be pulled from the front. If you need a box that opens from either side, that is a different construction and we would quote it as one.
Can the drawer be lined?
It can. The standard build is a plain white floor, and a flocked bed, an EVA cut-out or a paper platform can be added to your drawing. Send the 3D file and the insert is cut to the outline.
Is the panel printed?
The panel is white and plain in the standard build. Foil, screen print, emboss and UV are all available from 1,000 pcs, and the sleeve top takes a foil block at any quantity.
What is the minimum order?
300 pcs on the stock 9 x 8 x 2.5 cm size, and 500 pcs per size for a bespoke size or bespoke artwork. Read the rest on the FAQ page.
