Which one fits your project
- Choose the tuck box when the product is light, the box is a retail pack rather than a keepsake, and unit cost or freight volume drives the decision. A two-layer build with matt lamination and a spot UV logo reads far more expensive than it costs, and it is the version most cosmetics brands settle on.
- Choose the rigid three-layer box when the box is kept after purchase, when the inner surface needs to be a different material from the outer, or when the box has to stand unsupported on a shelf.
- Choose the flip-top box when the opening experience carries the brand – which is why the format is common on high-end perfume and on beauty tools such as brushes.
- If the product is heavier than roughly 500 g or will travel without an outer carton, the thin tuck wall is the wrong choice regardless of budget.

Sampling, MOQ & lead time
Artwork, 3D mockups and dielines are free and take 1-3 days. Sampling takes 5-10 days, with custom sample fees from US$50 to US$210 depending on structure and finishing. Once your order is placed, a free pre-production sample is confirmed by photo or video before mass production, and we will quote the one-, two- and three-layer versions side by side if you want a direct cost comparison.
Production is 18-25 days for regular orders, 10-15 days for small runs and 25-30 days for soft-touch or special shapes, starting 1-3 days after sample approval. FAQ
Can a tuck box be made to look as premium as a rigid box?
Up to a point. Matt lamination with spot UV, foil stamping and embossing all work on a tuck box and lift it well above a plain carton. What a tuck box cannot copy is the rigid wall and the separate inner wrap.
Do tuck boxes ship assembled?
No – they ship flat and are folded at the packing line, which is the main reason freight costs are lower than for rigid boxes.
What is the minimum order quantity?
300 pcs for the standard version, 500 pcs when the size or design is customized, and 1,000 pcs when a logo, Pantone spot color or new moulding is required.
